On Saturday, November 13, Roncalli Spell Bowl Team, under the direction of Coach Jennifer Riedford, captured the Indiana State Class Two Championship title for the second year in a row. They competed against 23 teams with five teams advancing to the state competition at Purdue University.
The Royal Spellers finished with a final score of 74/90 correct words. Four Royal Spellers had near-perfect rounds, seniors Ronan Euzen and Adelle Burkhardt, sophomores Emily Sering and Caitlynn Penollar. Junior Bryce Lowery spelled his nine words perfectly.

Congratulations to all of the members of the cast and crew of our fall musical, “Holiday Inn,” for all of their hard work these past two months!
CATHOLIC MATH LEAGUE COMPETITION
The results are in from the first of four rounds of the Catholic Math League Competition!

On Monday, we honored October’s Students of the Month at a catered Chick Fil A luncheon to celebrate their outstanding work in the classroom. Way to go, Royals!
Arts SCHOLARSHIPS
Last week, a representative from the New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts came to the parent preview of our fall musical. Miki Lewinski said, “While we knew they were coming, we did not know they came bearing gifts! They were very complimentary of our program. The rep said he had been to a number of high school productions and ours was far superior!” He then awarded 8 - $1,000 scholarships to their summer camp and 2 - $10,000 scholarships to seniors Xavier Wilson and Ian Knight!
WALKATHON
“Walk a Mile, Pray Awhile”
Finally, we are walking next week, Wednesday, November 24! Students will arrive at 7:30 AM and be dismissed at 1:00 PM. We will be adjusting the schedule for both Tuesday and Wednesday of that week. Here are the schedules for those two days. It is a block schedule where students go to periods 1-8 over the course of two days and have 75 minute classes. We will still adhere to the Tuesday student late arrival with school beginning at 8:20 AM.
We want our students to experience this event together. With the delay of the walk, this gives our students the opportunity to meet their goals. We will continue to collect Walkathon donations in the Advancement Office and distribute t-shirts. Please see Mrs. Endris to turn in donations and collect t-shirts.

SNOW DAYS
With winter fast approaching, here is our elearning learning plan that is stated in the student handbook:
The school calendar traditionally has four days designated as “Snow Make-up Days”: Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, Easter Monday and the final Friday of the school year. Should we cancel school for any reason during the school year, we will use the next “Snow Make-up Day” available on the school calendar as an E-learning day. Students will not report physically to school on an E-learning day. They will be required to log into their Canvas account by 10:00 AM for attendance purposes and to complete assignments given to them by their teachers for this E-learning day. Roncalli will not use an E-learning day on the actual day for which school is canceled.
2ND SEMESTER CHOICE SCHOLARSHIP

CHRISTMAS CONCERTS
Tickets for Christmas concerts are available beginning Friday, November 19. The Choral concert is scheduled for Tuesday, December 7. The Advanced Women’s Choir, Beginning Mixed Choir, Intermediate Choir and Show Choir will perform at the 6:00 PM show. The 8:00 PM show will feature the Advanced Women’s Choir, Beginning Women's Choir, Intermediate Choir and Show Choir.
The Band Concert is December 9 at 7:00 PM. It will feature the Concert and Jazz Bands.
Tickets can be purchased at roncalli.booktix.com. Tickets are $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for Roncalli students and children 14 years old and younger. Remember to print off your tickets and bring them with you to the show. Tickets will be scanned at the entrance to the auditorium. We are hiring
The Office of Institutional Advancement is seeking an individual(s) to be a part of a dynamic team. We are seeking a candidate to manage our school website (app management, day to day web updates, proficient at HTML, CSS, JavaScript and SQL).
We are also seeking someone to do videography/video production and also do broadcast and streaming for our Roncalli Media Network. This position(s) could be full-time or part-time and is a 12 month position. Interested and qualified candidates should contact Terese Carson at tcarson@roncalli.org or at 317-788-4098.
RONCALLI REPORT CARD
We are very proud of the academic excellence found at all levels in our school's curriculum. We are diligent and intentional in our efforts to provide course offerings that allow all students, regardless of their academic ability, to be successful while also being challenged.
The curriculum and student performance are reviewed annually by the teachers, department chairpersons and administration. In the spirit of what gets measured, gets better, we strive for continual improvement for all students on an annual basis!

CENTRAL NINE OPEN HOUSE
Students and parents of students interested in learning more about Central Nine - there will be an open house on Thursday, December 9 from 5:30 - 7:00 PM at Central Nine. The address is 1999 US 31 South, Greenwood, IN 46143. If you are at all interested, we highly encourage you to attend, as this will allow you to get hands-on experience for all of the programs.
If you are unable to attend, they will be holding another open house on Thursday, January 27 from 5:30 - 7:00 PM.

The Tuition Work Program provides for an ultra-flexible part-time job where you can...
- Sign up to work when YOU are available
- Work as many events as YOU want
- Receive an hourly rate ranging from $12-$25 depending on the event
- Sign up as many family and friends as you like to work toward your student’s tuition
- Work in premier venues with other Roncalli families
This program can really make a big impact on the amount of tuition a family has to pay. Some families work in the program to pay their entire tuition bill.

Through the years, we have proven to be very successful in helping families/students that are in need of transportation assistance(to and/or from school).
- If your family is in need of assistance with transportation, please email Andi Baker or call 317-787-8277, ext. 221. Please provide her with the following details (your name, contact information, major crossroads near where you live and what your needs are (ride to school, home from school or both). We will make every effort to connect you with another RHS family that can assist with your transportation needs.
- If your family/student is willing to assist other RHS families/students with a ride to school and/or home from school, please contact Andi Baker and provide her with the same information as noted in the first paragraph. This can be an excellent way for your family/student to benefit from some extra gas money.

VACCINATION INFORMATION FOR TEENS
November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month! Congratulations to our ASV Lung Nodule and Bronchoscopy Team as they rapidly surpassed their 100th Ion robotic bronchoscopy case. This game changing technology is helping to make a difference and save lives as it helps biopsy nodules to diagnose early stage lung cancers. It is important to talk to your physicians to see if you qualify for a Low Dose CT scan for lung cancer screening. The LDCT is a preventative screening test to help detect problems at its earliest stage and proven to reduce lung cancer mortality. For more information, please contact the Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis Lung Nodule Clinic team at 317-338-7400.
