Last Friday at our pep rally, the students were surprised by the entrance of our new mascot. He led the students with the spirit stick. The students were asked to submit ideas for the new mascot’s name. Roncalli welcomes our newest family member!
A special congratulations to our reigning state champion spell bowl team and Coach Jennifer Riedford! The team qualified for the 37th annual state tournament, which will be held on November 13 in the Loeb Playhouse at Purdue University West Lafayette.
The team earned a spot by scoring 105/120 points with three perfect rounds! Roncalli will welcome the Class of 2026 for the High School Placement Test (HSPT) on Saturday, November 6! Additional details are below:
Parents are strongly encouraged to attend an Admissions Information meeting on the morning of the High School Placement Test from 10:00 – 11:15 AM in the auditorium. Items covered at this meeting will include the Admissions Application, the Admissions process, the Financial Aid process and some general academic and scheduling information. Tickets for the musical, “Holiday Inn” are now available. The musical will be performed November 11 at 7:00 PM, November 12 at 6:00 PM and November 13 at 2:00 and 7:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased at roncalli.booktix.com. Tickets are $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for Roncalli students and children 14 years old and younger.
Tomorrow, Saturday, November 6th there are team and individual pictures for winter sports.
All photos are available for preorder at handrphoto.com. Orders are taken up to 24 hours before the photo shoot. Anyone who does not place an order will receive a proof to order after photo day. Photos ordered before photo day will be delivered to Roncalli within a week of the photo shoot. Those ordered after are delivered directly to homes.
Interested in taking Drafting at Roncalli High School? If so, sign up for the Roncalli High School Drafting Program’s FREE “Make It, Take It” night scheduled for Thursday, November 18 from 5:30-7:00 PM in Room 018! Drop-off/Pick-up will be outside Door #8.
Students in grades 6-8 will have the opportunity to use the actual drafting tools used by RHS drafting students to create a drawing to take home! Space is limited, so be sure to RSVP by Monday, November 15 to Don Elbreg.

Students and parents of students interested in learning more about Central Nine - there will be an open house on Thursday, December 9 from 5:30 - 7:00 PM at Central Nine. The address is 1999 US 31 South, Greenwood, IN 46143. If you are at all interested, we highly encourage you to attend, as this will allow you to get hands-on experience for all of the programs.
If you are unable to attend, they will be holding another open house on Thursday, January 27 from 5:30 - 7:00 PM.

Parents of seniors are reminded that Herff Jones and Jostens will be at Roncalli November 9 & 10 to take orders for Graduation Announcements. All seniors received packets in their Religion classes that contained information, samples and ordering information from both companies. You can also order online at jostens.com and herffjones.com.
We are planning to walk the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, November 24. Students will arrive at 7:30 AM and be dismissed at 1:00 PM. We want our students to experience this event together. With the delay of the walk, this gives our students the opportunity to meet their goals. We will continue to collect Walkathon donations in the Advancement Office and distribute t-shirts. Please see Mrs. Endris to turn in donations and collect t-shirts.

November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month! Congratulations to our ASV Lung Nodule and Bronchoscopy Team as they rapidly surpassed their 100th Ion robotic bronchoscopy case. This game changing technology is helping to make a difference and save lives as it helps biopsy nodules to diagnose early stage lung cancers. It is important to talk to your physicians to see if you qualify for a Low Dose CT scan for lung cancer screening. The LDCT is a preventative screening test to help detect problems at its earliest stage and proven to reduce lung cancer mortality.
