This year’s winning artwork in The Right to Life of Indianapolis’s art competition was first place went to junior Ella McCalip and Second went to junior Audrey Rearick. Ella received a $250 prize, plus a $250 grant for Roncalli's art program. Her work will also be featured on the cover of the Annual Right to Life of Indianapolis Celebrate Life program book. Audrey was awarded $200. Great job, ladies!

Congratulations to junior David Love on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout with his project of creating Buddy Benches and Reflection Benches for three churches at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and Cumberland United Methodist. Holy Spirit Indy, David’s home parish, received both a reflection bench next to the church and a portable Buddy Bench to be placed on the new playground after the capital campaign to update the church and school. A second reflection bench was made for Our Lady of Lourdes parish and installed for Father Rick Ginther. Finally, a Buddy bench was made for the Boy Scout Troop Charter Church, Cumberland United Methodist. The benches were all made during a late snow event and coordinated with each church. David, we are proud of you!
Senior Grant Hillan received a Diesel Merit Award at C-9’s Awards Day celebration and senior Lauren Crist received an achievement award from her Dental Careers teacher and was inducted into the National Technical Honor Society.

Roncalli’s STARS program needs you! Each semester STARS students use accommodations on over 450 exams. This only happens with your help! Please consider serving as a proctor, reader or scribe. This semester finals will take place Monday, May 17th, Tuesday, May 18th and Wednesday, May 19th. Volunteer here.

It is time to schedule your Class of 2022 senior portraits. This is your official senior portraits that will be used for the yearbook and class composite.
We have just received approval to do your senior portraits at Roncalli the week of May 17-May 21st. Yes, that is finals week, the last week of school, and the week of your prom! There will be a letter sent out this week with more information.
If you do not get your picture taken, you will also have the option of going to the Prestige Photography studio up in Carmel over the summer. The week of May 17-21 will be the ONLY opportunity to get the senior portrait at RHS. See Mr. Banich if you have any questions.
Roncalli is looking to put together our summer work crew for 2021. We typically hire 5 - 6 students who have graduated high school and have an interest in working at Roncalli through the summer. We try to work around summer vacations, college class schedules and other obligations. If you have anyone interested please contact Dave Gervasio at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Roncalli is enrolled in the National School Lunch Program here at Roncalli, you can receive free meals during the summer (Summer Food Service Program).
Roncalli will require all students to take final exams in person on the day of and during the time of the scheduled course. There will be no exams administered remotely. Teachers will make every effort to social distance these students in the classroom. You can find the Spring 2020-2021 Exam Schedule here.

The family and friends of Katie Lynch have once again organized the Katie's 5K Run/Walk for Hope to honor Katie's courageous battle with cancer. The event will be held on Sunday May 16, 2021 at Roncalli HS. Registration begins at 12:30 with the Walk to begin at 2:00. Proceeds go to help fund numerous scholarships as well as making the wishes of sick children come true.
This is the 10th anniversary of Katie's passing and we would like to make this the biggest event we have ever had! Please pass the word and register at katieshope.org by May 1, 2021 in order to be guaranteed a tshirt. The entry fee is $25/adults, $15/students and $100/family. There will be a picnic with food and games to follow in the St. Jude Pavilion area. We hope that you will join us to live, laugh and love as we celebrate Katie's legacy.

The Indiana State Department of Health and Department of Education has mandatory immunizations for every student enrolled in an Indiana school. Roncalli High School must follow these requirements to stay in compliance; even if a physicians’ immunization and dosing schedules show more flexibility.
Immunization requirements for 2021-22 require all high school students to have 2 Hepatitis A vaccines, administered a minimum 6 months apart.
Also 2 Meningitis MCV4 vaccines are required for Class of 2022 prior to the start of their senior year.
If your child has not received these, please make arrangements to get these vaccines and forward proof of immunization. County Health Departments can assist with these vaccinations.
