Rebel 5ive is an interactive interview with Roncalli alumni, parents, past parents and friends. Five questions regarding how lives have evolved and how key connections of experience, opportunity, and alumni networking have propelled them to where they are today. Find out how they have been challenged, how they have overcome those challenges and what they’ve learned at each juncture along the way.

New episodes to be released Wednesday April, 17th.

Over spring break, a group of Rebels served two households by building a wheelchair ramp, reworking a fence gate, putting in a dining room ceiling, building new stairs and repainting a house. The students involved in the trip included Reese Wiley, Olivia Beach, Michael Runholt, Lucy Houser, Hannah Day and Hudson Day. Two Future Rebels joined us as well: Robert Houser and Maryanna Houser. Special thanks go out to Scott and Karen Houser, Angela Maly, Katie Anderson and Tim Crissman.

Any student wishing to participate in this summer’s mission trip to Appalachia should contact Gerard Striby or Michelle Roberts. The summer trip will take place July 14-19. Students are encouraged to take a chance on this most worthy experience.

Roncalli High School will hold its annual Good Friday prayer service on Friday, April 19, beginning at 11:00 AM in the RHS Family Room.

In years past the public has always been invited to this prayer service, but given our serious parking challenges this year due to construction we do encourage people to seek out another Good Friday prayer this year. We will be excited to welcome our guests back in 2020 when next year's Good Friday prayer service is held in our spacious new gym with ample parking.

Dismissal time for Roncalli students should be at approximately 12:30 PM.

Our all school Good Friday prayer service is a special time for our students, teachers and staff members to be in prayer together. We respectfully ask that parents not request for their student to leave RHS prior to our prayer service. If the need does arise for a parent to make this request, they will be required to send a note with their child ahead of time and come into the school building and sign out their child. For legal reasons, students will not be allowed to sign themselves out nor will parents be able to sign out students other than their own children.

Thank you for your assistance in making this a holy time of prayer for all of our students, teachers and staff.

Romans 12:1-2 states, "I urge you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, your spiritual worship. Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect." In following the message of scripture, we aspire to honor God in everything we do, including our modest and dignified dress code at all school functions. The following requirements are the guidelines to ensure that every student dresses in a way to show the true beauty of the person.

  • FIT: The dress may not reveal all contours of the body while sitting, standing, or dancing.
  • LENGTH: The length of the dress should be no shorter than three inches above of the knee. In addition, no slit, opening, or cut in the dress should go beyond three inches above the knee.
  • CUT: Strapless or two-piece dresses are prohibited, and backless dresses may not be cut below the middle of the back. Dresses should not expose the midriff or cleavage.
  • MATERIAL: Any sheer, lace, or see-through material in the dress cannot expose areas such as the lower back, midriff (sides or front), cleavage, or the upper leg.

  • SHIRTS: Button down collared shirts must be worn with a bowtie or tie and remained buttoned at all times.
  • PANTS: Proper fitting dress pants must be worn with closed-toed shoes.

Any student that is violating the policy will not be allowed into the event until his/her attire meets the proper requirements.

If a male has a question about appropriate attire, they must seek input and advice from Mr. Banich. If a female has a question about a dress, they must talk with either Mrs. Bohn or Mrs. Armbruster before purchasing their attire.
