Now through December 13th, Roncalli is partnering with Anna’s House and the Lord’s Pantry for our annual Roncalli Toy Drive. This toy drive gives us an incredible opportunity to serve two very special communities in the neighborhoods of Stringtown and Haughville and the families served by the St. Vincent’s Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital.
Mr. Tully has always helped drive the success of our Toy Drive with his incredible personality and motivational techniques. With him still recovering and getting better by the day, we would love to pay tribute to him by having an incredible showing this year and bringing in tons of toys to help serve the impoverished communities that are served by Anna’s House and the Lord’s Pantry. Students have been asked, in their Religious Studies classes, to reflect on our drive with their families and discuss how they can best serve and support this drive. Please consider a gift of toys or new or gently used children's books. Any contribution, including a prayerful one, will not go unnoticed.
Another option to participate is in the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital Giving Tree program. This gives us a wonderful opportunity to support a great partner that we have in St. Vincent's Hospital and a very easy way to donate!

Each year the Lugar Symposium is held to bring together leaders from high schools across Indiana. This Saturday, December 8, Andrew, Savannah, and Kai will attend the symposium with nearly 500 other students from around the state at the University of Indianapolis.
At the symposium, the students will choose to attend sessions offered on the following topics: "Resident Aliens: Immigrants and Refugees in the US and Abroad," "Learning from 2018 and Looking to 2020: The State of American Politics," “North Korea and Nukes: Is there a Solution?," "US Leadership in the World," and "#MeToo: Politics and Social Movements." In addition to attending the sessions, these students will get to hear from Senator Richard Lugar, as well as meet other leaders from around the state. Congratulations!
We as a school have entered a time of preparation, along with the Church as a whole, for the coming of our Savior. The Student Council has teamed up with Campus Ministry to help prepare for this season. Each class has taken a week leading up to our break and used a theme to shape some activities to help focus us on this time of preparation. The themes will be Hope, Joy, Peace and Love.
Please join us in this Advent season as we prepare ourselves for the coming of our Savior. Keep these themes of Hope, Joy, Peace and Love on your minds and in your prayers through this season. Click here to access scriptures and prayers for each week, as well as what we're doing in the halls of Roncalli. We should all work to prepare, as Matthew 24:44 tells us "So too, you also must be prepared, for at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come."
Please join us on Wednesday mornings from 7:30-8:30 AM in prayer for our children, our own and the students of Roncalli, along with all faculty and staff. We meet in the chapel. Just off the main entrance of the school.
Please come pray with us during this Advent season. Any questions contact Donna Williams.

When weather or emergency conditions warrant a cancellation of school or a delayed start to school, the fastest, most accurate way to access this information is via the school’s website at www.roncalli.org. Once a decision to close or delay has been made, the first step is to post this on the front of the school’s website. A phone call (or text message if you signed up for the text message) will go out to parents. We will then call the four major television stations in Indianapolis.
The geographic area that encompasses all of the areas in which our families, faculty and staff live stretches from Carmel (north) to Danville (west) to Shelbyville/Greenfield (east/southeast) to Bargersville (south). We attempt to take all of this into consideration when determining whether or not to delay or close. That can be challenging as the weather conditions can vary significantly in the areas mentioned above. Parents, please know that it is always your decision as to whether or not your child can travel safely to school. If the conditions in your general area are such that you deem it unsafe for them to travel, they will not be penalized for their absence.
