Calling for parent volunteers to help with the walkathon. Please email Jeen Endris if you’d like to get involved.

This year’s Walkathon is Wednesday, October 31st, Halloween! (A decision as to whether or not we are walking on Wednesday will be made before we leave school on Tuesday. The rain date is scheduled for November 2nd.) The Walkathon is the only all school fundraiser in which Roncalli students are asked to participate. Every dollar raised through Walkathon funds provides needs-based tuition assistance for Roncalli families.

College day visits are not allowed on this day. School is dismissed at 1:00 PM on the day of the Walkathon! Click here to learn more.

Students can have friends and family donate directly to them on our website with a credit card. All students should have received an email with their unique web-link and instructions for online donations. Or you can just visit: and click “DONATE NOW.” You’ll be prompted to type in the student’s name and select the amount you wish to give. Students can check how much they have generated and send emails with their link to family and friends by going to there unique URL. Checks and cash are also accepted, or a combination of these payment methods. We ask students to fill in their yellow envelope with the amount pledged online and turn it in to get their t-shirts.

Students can turn in their money in the designated yellow envelopes in the cafeteria during all lunch periods on Monday, October 29th and Tuesday, October 30th. Money must be turned in by October 30th in order for the student to participate in the walk.

Please contact Jeen Endris with any questions.

Official College Visits are very helpful in the college planning process:

  • Students and parents can compare colleges in terms of size, majors, cost of attendance, scholarships, college atmosphere, and overall "fit."
  • Students see how their current coursework/grades connects to their future goals, often providing students new academic motivation
  • Students can explore various majors/careers by scheduling an information session in addition to their campus tour.
  • Our RHS counselors strongly recommend the first college visit take place sophomore year, during the school day or on a weekend Open House visit. Juniors and Seniors are likewise encouraged to make at least two official college visits.

This form must be used when arranging an official college visit as an excused absence, and provides directions to scheduling a campus visit. Questions? Please contact your guidance counselor.

The Honors Economics students will be participating in a Community Poverty Simulation, and we need 20-22 parent volunteers to run this event. We will be working at The Atrium on November 5th from 10:30 AM - 3 PM. If you are available and interested in joining this experience, please contact Betsy Strader for further information.
